With the founding of Freundeskreis in 1997, the Stuttgart-born rapper, singer-songwriter and music producer Max Herre hit on the zeitgeist of an entire generation. Special medallions for the band members were commissioned with a silver-smith, and today, are not only a piece of German hip-hop history, but also a reminder of their highly intelligent, political lyrics, which even then revolved around important topics such as equality and international understanding.
